Susan Gilbert-Chapter 1Chapter One

Mrs. Sarah Gilbert hummed cheerfully to herself as she twirled around the kitchen.  It wasn’t her normal routine while making breakfast to dance and hum; in fact, it wasn’t normal for her to be making breakfast at all.  This morning, however, was a special morning, and although there were only three members of the Gilbert family the house felt alive and zealous.  Not everything had been unpacked from their very recent move and cardboard boxes were stacked at every corner.  Fortunately, Mrs. Gilbert had a clear path through the kitchen and didn’t mind one bit to search for every utensil and tool that she happened
